These terms cover using Peerford: the portal, universities’ sites, the workspace and Commons. By using Peerford or creating an account, you agree to them. A university that subscribes has its own agreement with us, which governs its workspace and site where it differs.

Peerford’s figures and profiles are computed from the public scholarly record, as set out on How Peerford counts. We work to make them right and say where coverage is short, but they are provided as they are, without a guarantee: check anything a decision rests on against its sources. A report written with AI states figures Peerford computed; the prose around them can still be wrong.
Read, cite, share and link to anything on Peerford, and quote its figures and charts with credit to Peerford and a link to the page they came from. The records beneath them are open and can be had from their sources directly, so please do not copy Peerford wholesale or harvest it with automated tools.
Do not try to reach what you have not been given access to, test or break Peerford’s security, overload it, or use it to break the law.
Keep your sign-in to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account. Connect it only to the researcher page and staff profile that are yours.
You own what you post, and you let Peerford show it, to anyone, for as long as it is there. Post nothing unlawful, harassing, hateful or deceptive, nobody else’s private information, no spam, and nothing that pretends to be someone else. Moderators may remove a post that breaks these terms and suspend an account that keeps doing so.
A university’s site shows what the university provides — its staff directory, pages, logo and images — and the university is responsible for it. A workspace is for the university’s own people, with the access its administrators give them.
Peerford is improving all the time: its features change, and it may sometimes be unavailable. When these terms change, the date at their top changes, and account holders are told by email before a change that matters takes effect.
As far as the law allows, Peerford is not liable for decisions made on its figures, or for losses that follow indirectly from using it or from its being unavailable.
You may stop using Peerford at any time and delete your account in your account settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why.
